Super Crispy Cajun Air-Fryer Chickpeas
The perfect savoury snack to go with your finger food spread is these delicious, super crispy air-fryer Cajun chickpeas. They're light and fluffy, quick to make and best of all they are oil-free making them a much better alternative to chips.

Ingredients
- 1 400g can chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp Cajun spice
- 1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Drain chickpeas in a strainer and rinse well. Place chickpeas in a bowl.
- Stir through the spices until chickpeas are evenly coated.
- Place the chickpeas evenly in the air-fryer basket and cook on 180 degrees Celsius for approximately 10 minutes. (Occasionally open the fryer and give them a bit of a shake to keep separated).
- Regularly check them to make sure they are not burning and sample them to ensure they are properly cooked.They should be light and crispy, not chewy.
- Place in a bowl uncovered until they cool then they can go into an airtight container.
Notes
Tip: Experiment with flavours. You might prefer plain salted, curry flavour or perhaps you’d like to explore some sweeter options. It’s up to you.
